If you missed today’s meeting, you missed out on Karen Wall’s informative talk about the San Clemente Branch Library. Karen told us about the Summer Reading Programs, Free Internet Access, Free Printing (5 page limit), training in computer and internet use, the ACME Balloon Company, Flights of Fantasy, Adult Discussion Groups and More.
The San Clemente Library is a tremendous resource for our community, and our own Jim Evert is the President of the Friends of the Library who raise more than $5,000 a month for the library programs through book sales in their used-book store at the back of the Library. For more information about the Library, check out their events schedule here, or check out their website here. President Jim Rutter shares a few pictures below of his grandson Alexander who participated in one of the Library’s recent programs.
Other reminders from today’s meeting – Tomorrow, Wednesday July 22, 2009, if you bring a new children’s book to the OC Super Fair, you will get one free entry to the fair. Check out the details here, scroll down in the “Special Promotions” section to “We Care Wednesdays” for details about tomorrow’s event. This weekend, our club will participate in the Relay for Life San Clemente. Join our team here – make sure you search for “The San Clemente Sunrise Rotary Club,” or you won’t find us. We still need some middle-of-the-night walkers. Other announcements can be found on our Facebook Calendar here.
